Most of you viewing this site will have known Lotey well having shared a pint with him and perhaps even having played darts, either against or alongside him, for many years. Most however will not know of his involvement with this site or of his intention to sponsor the league for the 2016 season... Having not long ventured into the world of self employment and setting up his tree surgery business (MLTS) Lotey saw an opportunity to mix both work and pleasure, hopefully to the benefit of both, by asking to be a league sponsor. Martin knew that work on this website had commenced and kindly offered to cover any costs that may be involved... Little did anyone realise that just 7 days later Lotey would be involved in a tragic accident that would ultimately prove fatal. One month on, in readiness for the start of the Friday Invitation Darts League 2016 the nearly completed website, is now proudly dedicated to the memory of Lotey It may not have been what he had in mind but as he often said "it is what it is" and hopefully makes the best of a very bad situation R.I.P Lotey. |
